New Greenhouse for the Spring of 2020

We have pivoted this year and decided to add a greenhouse to be able to offer veggies, herbs, and preserves to our customers along with our yearly Haskap U-Pick!  The greenhouse is fully planted and we should have greens in a few weeks with veggies to follow in July and August!  Stay tuned for updates!  We will be open fine mornings.  Call 902.543.9602 for updates!Greenhouse 1 Greenhouse 2

I brought a basil plant in last winter, it just happened to have a tomato stalk with it. During the winter it bloomed and I had two tomatoes, and sure enough here are some more flowers and a tiny tomato!!

About Haskap

The Haskap Berry is a small oval berry with dark blue skin and a vibrant crimson flesh. It is a member of the honeysuckle family and while it might resemble a blueberry, it is just as closely related a tomato. The taste is uniquely it’s own but is best described as a combination of blueberry and raspberry with a hint of elderberry.

Haskap berries are really good for you. They are high in antioxidants, vitamin C and potassium. Detailed nutritional information is available at Haskap Canada.
